Charles Gretton No. 61
An extremely rare and fine William & Mary late 17th century marquetry and kingwood bracket clock by this eminent maker. The movement with verge escapement and pull quarter repeat on three bells and signed to the well engraved backplate. The dial with winged cherub head spandrels, apertures for false pendulum and calendar, fine original hands and makers signature to the chapter ring.
