A fine 18th century mahogany regulator of elegant proportions by this eminent maker and with a fine original colour and patina, the shallow arched case with a silvered engraved dial signed James Tregent, London, to the shallow arch and with seconds and minutes dials an aperture for the hours and fine hands.
The substantial 8 day movement with dead beat escapement and Harrisons maintaining power, 6 pillars and jeweled through the train, the wood rod pendulum with a large brass rated bob.
