A rare late 17th century Queen Anne English walnut and marquetry table clock with quarter repeat and verge escapement. The movement with a well engraved backplate bearing the makers signature, the dial with apertures for false pendulum and date, gilt winged cherub spandrels and fine hands. The movement striking the hour and repeating the quarters (restored) on six bells. The rare marquetry case decorated with birds, profile male heads within flowers and scrolls, the door interior and dial mask also with marquetry design.
