James Tregent No. 207
A fine small 18th century George III mahogany bracket clock by this eminent maker. The case with brass mounts, a single brass mounted panel surmounted with a gilt brass handle and with good fretwork to the side panels. The enamel dial signed in the arch on an enamel cartouche, James Tregent, Watchmaker to the Prince of Wales, London, between two enamel subsidiary dials for date and regulation. The movement with verge escapement and rack striking. The well engraved backplate also bearing the makers signature.
