This important Queen Anne table clock with quarter repeating from either side and numbered to the exquisitely engraved backplate 377. The rectangular dial with subsidiary dials for strike/silent and regulation, maker's signature engraved between and bouble screwed mask and foliate gilt spandrels. The movement with latched dial and seven latched pillars, pivoted verge escapement and rise/fall regulation. A superb clock by probably the most important English clockmaker and incorporating his quarter repeating system.
