John Grant No. 114
A rare miniature George III 18th century mantleclock with enamel dial and strike/silent dial by this eminent maker. The faded ebonised case with three raised panels and a gilt brass carrying handle to the top, brass feet and a brass moulding to the door. The 8 day movement signed to the dial and backplate and with hour striking and repeat on a bell and recoil escapement.
